How does the free trial work?
Sign up and use every feature free for 30 days. No credit card is needed to start. Add your trucks, drivers and accounts and run real calls. After 30 days it's $50 a month for your whole company. If it's not for you, just stop using it.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contract and no cancellation fee. Cancel from Company → Manage billing and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for. See our refund & cancellation policy.
Do drivers need to download an app?
No app store. Drivers open your Hookline address on their phone, sign in, and tap “Add to Home Screen.” It then opens like any other app.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The driver app works in Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android. Dispatch works in any modern browser on a computer or tablet.
How do drivers sign in?
You create a username for each driver, like tony@yourcompany, with a temporary password. They choose their own password the first time. Drivers never need an email address.
Can each motor club have its own rates?
Yes. Every account has its own rate sheet: hook-up, en route, loaded and deadhead miles with free miles, port-to-port, winching, duty classes and service prices.
How are storage fees calculated?
You enter the storage rates for your state and counties, including free hours, per-day or per-24-hour counting, and admin and after-hours fees. Hookline picks the right rate for each vehicle and keeps the total running until release.
How does the VIN scanner work?
The driver points the phone camera at the VIN barcode on the door jamb or windshield. The VIN fills in and the year, make and model are looked up automatically.
How does GPS tracking work?
While a driver is on duty with the app open, their location updates on your live map and each status change is stamped with where it happened. Going off duty stops sharing.
Can I email invoices and receipts?
Yes. From any call, tap Email invoice or Email receipt. It opens your own email app with the message ready and a secure link the customer, motor club or insurer can open, print or save as a PDF. No sign-in needed on their end.
What reports are included?
Summary, call list, revenue by account, service and driver, driver commission, payments received, unpaid invoices by age, sales tax, storage inventory and auction vehicles. Pick any dates and filters, then print or export to Excel.
How does driver commission work?
Give each driver a percent of the bill or a flat amount per completed call. Storage and tax are left out unless you choose otherwise. The commission report shows what each driver has earned, and you mark calls paid when you pay out.
What happens when I remove a driver?
They disappear from dispatch and can't sign in anymore, but every call they ran stays in your records, reports and commission history. You can restore them later.
Is our data private?
Each company's calls, customers, photos and documents are separated at the database level. Only people you add can sign in, and you control what each role can see.
